The Truth of the Shiites by the Hadith scholar Abu Ishaq al-Huwaini Abu Ishaq Hijazi bin Muhammad bin Yusuf bin Sharif al-Huwaini al-Masry (and this Ishaq is not his son, but the Sheikh was called by this name in honor of the nickname of the companion Saad bin Abi Waqqas and the nickname of Imam Abu Ishaq al-Shatibi) was born on Thursday the first of Dhu al-Qi'dah in the year 1375 AH corresponding to 06/1956 AD in the village of Hawin in the Riyadh Center in the Kafr al-Sheikh Governorate in Egypt. After completing his secondary education, a debate occurred about which college the Sheikh should enter, so he hesitated between colleges until he settled in the Spanish Language Department at the Faculty of Languages at Ain Shams University in Cairo, from which he did not go beyond the first three in the first three years, and in the fourth he dropped out of them and graduated with a general grade of excellent. He wanted to become a member of the Spanish Language Academy and actually traveled to Spain with a scholarship from the college, but he returned because he did not like the country. There are those who took from them. The Sheikh went to the sessions of Sheikh al-Muti'i in the Malaysian Students House near Abdo Pasha Square in Abbasiya, so he took from him the explanations of each of: Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-Majmu’ by Imam Al-Nawawi, Al-Ashbah wa Al-Naza’ir by Imam Al-Suyuti, and Ihya’ ‘Ulum Al-Din by Imam Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali, may Allah have mercy on them. Sheikh Al-Muti’i stayed with Sheikh for about four years until his lessons stopped due to the mass arrests ordered by Al-Sadat. Sheikh Al-Muti’i left for Sudan and then to Medina, where he died and was buried in Al-Baqi’. He studied with Sheikh Sayyid Sabiq in Maadi and studied with some of the pillar sheikhs at Al-Azhar Mosque in the principles of jurisprudence, language, and readings, but not much. He studied some of Warsh’s readings with his uncle (who was a reading teacher). In the year 1396 AH, Sheikh Al-Albani came to Egypt and gave a lecture at the general center of the Ansar Al-Sunnah Al-Muhammadiyah group in Abdeen, but he left and the Sheikh did not meet him. The Sheikh had published a book by Sheikh Fasl Al-Khitab bi-Naqd Al-Mughni ‘an Al-Hifz wa Al-Kitab. Sheikh Al-Albani used to say: I do not have students (i.e., according to his method of graduation and criticism). When he read the book, he said: Yes (i.e., this is his student). The Sheikh traveled to Sheikh Al-Albani in Jordan in early Muharram of the year 1407 AH and he was with him for about a month, which was, as he says, one of his best days. He met him again during the Hajj season in the Holy Lands in 1410 AH. It was the Sheikh’s first Hajj, Sheikh Al-Albani’s last Hajj, and the last time the Sheikh saw him. Accordingly, the Sheikh only met Sheikh Al-Albani twice. He recorded his meetings and questions on cassette tapes and these meetings were published under the name Masail Abi Ishaq Al-Huwaini. He called him a few times, so he acquired his knowledge from the Sheikh from his books and audio lectures. From these two times, the Sheikh went to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and acquired knowledge from: Sheikh Abdullah bin Qaud. He attended some sessions on explaining the book Al-Kafiya fi Al-Jadal by Imam Al-Juwayni, and Sheikh Saleh Al-Sheikh used to read to him at that time. Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz attended some sessions in his mosque, the Grand Mosque, on explanations of the books: Sunan Al-Imam Al-Nasa’i, Majmu’ Al-Fatawa by Imam Ibn Taymiyyah, and Kitab Al-Tawhid by Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab. The Sheikh also met Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen in the Haram and entered his private room and asked him about some issues. http://www.alheweny.org/aws/play.php?...
