It has been at least a year since we covered foreign policy in the Friderikusz podcasts, even though the world has become a very chaotic place, and it was already in 2023, but the situation has only intensified since then. There have never been as many armed conflicts as there are today: with the Russian-Ukrainian war lasting almost three years, the sounds of battle have even returned to Europe, where relative peace and stability reigned for several decades. A year later, the conflict in the Middle East flared up again, with Israel, Hamas, Hezbollah, the United States, but primarily Iran playing the leading role. Meanwhile, the European Union is also showing signs of crisis, because while previously the EU guaranteed the techniques of cooperation, compromises and compromises, as well as the suppression of nationalisms, and in internal policies it ensured the rule of liberal democracies with norms and guarantees, recently it seems that those extreme forces are increasingly which would bury liberal democracy and European cooperation with it. The common demand of these extreme right-wing formations was the suppression of legal and illegal immigration, and in a broader sense, the destruction of the European Union, or at least its significant reformulation. In the meantime, of course, we cannot take our eyes off the occasional alliance between China and Russia, as well as China's neo-colonial economic aspirations in many regions of the world, just as one, if not the most important, question is who will be the new United States on November 5 its president and how he defines the new foreign policy direction.
