Surah Yaseen is one of the surahs of the Holy Quran, the book of God and His final message to mankind, which was revealed to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, by the angel of revelation, Gabriel, peace be upon him, and transmitted to us through continuous transmission. It is the eternal miracle of the Messenger until the Day of Resurrection. It is the book that falsehood cannot approach from before it or behind it, a revelation from the Wise, the Praiseworthy. This eternal book is the constitution of Muslims, guidance and light for those who want it, and a herald and warner for humanity of a day when neither wealth nor children will benefit anyone except for those who come to God with a sound heart. It is a cure and mercy for the believers, as God Almighty said, “And We send down from the Qur’an that which is a healing and a mercy to the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.” In this article, we explain the virtue of Surah Yaseen in fulfilling a need, as God made this noble surah one of the sufficient healing surahs for those who read it. The virtue of Surat Ar-Rahman There are authentic, good, and weak hadiths about the virtue of some surahs in the Holy Qur’an. Among these surahs are Surat Al-Baqarah and Surat Al-Imran, as well as Surat Al-Kahf, Surat Al-Mulk, and Surat Al-Fatihah. [1] As for Surat Ar-Rahman, there are weak hadiths about its virtue that are not authentic. Among those hadiths is: (Everything has a bride, and the bride of the Qur’an is Surat Ar-Rahman). All the hadiths that were narrated about the virtue of this surah are weak in chain of transmission, as was verified by the scholar Al-Albani. [2] There is an authentic hadith in the Sunnah that mentions this surah, in which it says: (The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, recited Surat Ar-Rahman to his companions, and they remained silent. He said: What is the matter with me that I hear the jinn responding better to their Lord than you? I have not come upon the statement of God, “Which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?” except that they said: None of your favors. Our Lord, we deny it, so to You is praise. [3][4]
