Trains have not stopped in Kerzell for decades. There is no longer a train station here either - the switches and tracks required for this were dismantled a long time ago (although the former platform can still be seen). Nevertheless, there is a lot going on here. Located on the Kinzig Valley Railway, a lot of trains pass through Kerzell anyway. The freight trains that change from Fulda to the north-south route at Flieden also come through. And while the Fulda-Würzburg high-speed line was closed, a few long-distance trains even came through.
