This recording is from the Turnhallen in Oslo 1980, where Aage Samuelsen has one of his many revival meetings. The recording gives a good impression of the tone and atmosphere of his meetings. Aage was an outspoken man, and could say things that some relied on - but with all his faults and shortcomings, he was a rare spiritual inspirer. His faith in God and love for Jesus was genuine through and through, and many testified that they were both saved and healed at his meetings. His musical style became in many ways his trademark, and 'maran ata -takt' almost became a term of its own. Aage Samuelsen has left a lasting mark on Norwegian Christianity, not least with his many beautiful songs, where both the lyrics and the melody were his.
