I want you to know about Ame-no-Kaguyama-no-Mikoto, also known as Takakuraji-no-Mikoto, the deity of Yahiko Shrine and Kamikura Shrine! He is the great-grandson of Amaterasu Omikami, the son of Nigihayahi, the pioneer deity and ancestor deity of Owari, and a god who plays an important role in the Kojiki. Takakura Shrine and Owarito Shrine are said to be the inner shrines of Atsuta-Yui-Miko Shrine, a sub-shrine of Atsuta Shrine. Takakurashimo-no-Mikoto is enshrined here. There are traces of Takakurashimo-no-Mikoto in the place names Kozoji Temple in Aichi Prefecture and Takazo in Nagoya. However, the locals have all forgotten about this amazing god. That's not right!
