Juan Oliveira was born in northern Spain. Having graduated as a linguist, he traveled the world in search of suitable work. His love for Russian history brought him to St. Petersburg. During his 8 years in Russia, Juan founded his own language school, which is very popular, and built a strong family with a girl from Yakutia. Juan told me what he likes about Russia and what he still hasn’t gotten used to, how he sees Russians and what his first winter was like, his parents’ reaction to the move, and the stereotypes that were destroyed overnight.
