It is the additional edition to Pokémon Red Version and Blue Version, or an additional edition to Pocket Monsters Aka and Midori. On February 27, 2016, Pokémon Red Version, Blue Version and Pokémon Yellow Version were released worldwide for the Virtual Console of the Nintendo 3DS family. On May 30, 2018, the games Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! were announced for the Nintendo Switch. Both games are based on Pokémon Yellow Version and were released on November 16, 2018. The game begins in Alabastia, a small village in the southwest of Kanto. The player character and his childhood friend take on the roles of the protagonist and the rival as they set off on a big journey on the same day. The protagonist is called back by Professor Oak as he is about to enter the tall grass. However, they are surprised by a wild Pikachu, which Professor Oak catches. In the professor's laboratory, the protagonist and the rival are shown a Pokéball containing Eevee. After the protagonist goes to this Pokéball, the rival pushes the protagonist away so that he can grab the Pokémon. As consolation, the protagonist is given the Pikachu that Professor Oak had previously caught. The rival immediately challenges the protagonist to a fight. The Pikachu does not want to stay in the ball, which is why it runs after the protagonist from that moment on. After this fight, the professor asks the protagonist for a favor. The protagonist then travels to Vertania City, where he is to pick up a package for the professor. On the way to the city, he fights his first battles against trainers and wild Pokémon. Back in Alabastia, Professor Oak gives the two rival protagonists the Pokédex, a machine that can be used to register data on all Pokémon. Now the protagonist is ready for the adventure in which he will fight many battles, fill the Pokédex by catching Pokémon and, of course, build friendships with his Pokémon.
