An archaeological diagnosis carried out in early 2008 prior to a subdivision project had identified several ancient human occupations, including a site from the Late Neolithic period, as well as ovens and pits dug during Late Antiquity (4th-5th century AD) and part of a Gallo-Roman villa. The part of the ancient estate excavated includes residential buildings, the pars urbana, and a north-south traffic route. More than sixty meters south of the villa, almost at the top of Montredon hill, stood a monumental tomb, the elevation of which was demolished during Late Antiquity. The presence of a burial chamber built in large stone gives it an exceptional character.
