The original purpose of this house, which was made by connecting two hanoks, was to be a stay. The original house, which had to go to the bathroom across the yard and even had a doorless bathtub, might be romantic for a one-night stay, but it also had a long-standing concern that it needed structural changes for a family of four to live in. When they tore down the 100-year-old hanok, the roof was covered with a different roof instead of the tiles that had leaked, and the pillars were already damaged and were floating in the air. In the end, the construction that was supposed to be finished in six months was finished the following summer. Thanks to this, they completed their own hanok that is like no other in the world, with a full-length window that overlooks the Seochon alley and a rooftop skylight. When the shutters are closed, it resembles a pavilion with a large wooden floor, and when the shutters are opened, it is like another hanok. The spacious living room that embraces the courtyard seems to be in European style, but when you look at the ceiling that stylishly exposes the rafters, you can clearly see that this house was originally a hanok. Moreover, if you close the skylight with blinds, it is said that a sumi-e painting of apricot blossoms spreads out like a painting.
