Today I visited Kanekyu in Hineno, Izumisano City, Osaka. It's a shop I've always wanted to visit. I've heard that Kanekyu is the best in Japan, so when I went there, it was even more wonderful than I imagined. The first thing that caught my eye was the many flower arrangements. There were so many different types of flowers planted in pots of various styles that I couldn't help but look at them. In addition, the flower seedling corner that spreads out after the entrance was a space where you could see that all the plants were lively and lovingly cared for. The miscellaneous goods they have on display are also stylish, and they are very helpful for layout ideas. Kanekyu is also famous for its Christmas roses. I also sneaked into the "Kanekyu Christmas Rose Draft Conference", which is only held during this season! The draft conference is, in a word, a lottery competition. About 200 Christmas roses that the owner thinks are wonderful are draft candidates, and they are numbered from 1 to 200 and priced, and the numbers are read out in order and sold. If there is a competition, a lottery will be held, and it is a very popular event that attracts Christmas rose lovers from all over the country every year.
