This is Hirokazu Koreeda's 'Umami Diary' released in 2015. It is a precious family film starring Haruka Ayase, Suzu Hirose, Masami Nagasawa, and Kaho as sisters. It is the first live-action film based on a Japanese manga to be selected for the Cannes Film Festival competition section. The film begins with memories of the harsh father who left his family behind. As you watch the film, you realize that unrealistic resentment only torments you, and that you need to recognize the illusion and find a way to overcome it within yourself. It seems that the father of the three affectionate older sisters who left behind such a pretty younger sister will remain as a being of longing, not resentment.
