In January 1926, two Koreans were murdered by a group of townspeople in Kimoto-cho, Mie Prefecture (now Kumano City). A Korean was injured in a dispute between a townsperson and a Korean working on a tunnel construction project. A rumor spread that "Koreans will set fire to the town," and the townspeople, believing it, armed themselves. Two Korean men in their 20s were murdered. The "Kimoto Incident" occurred more than two years after the massacre of Koreans that occurred during the Great Kanto Earthquake, in a similar situation. This program conveys the reality that the incident has been forgotten and the desire of people to pass on the facts to future generations.
