Everyone can contribute, and we need each other, that is what Steven believes in. He came to the Netherlands from Curaçao to work for the Ministry of Defense. He was deployed eight times before he ended up at the VEVA as a senior instructor. He has now worked for the Ministry of Defense for 37 years. During that time he has experienced a great deal, such as the tension at the Berlin Wall, integrated defense exercises and working with modern technology to counter enemy missiles. Why did he come from Curaçao to the Netherlands to join the army? What did he do in the air force? How did he deal with his transfer to the VEVA?
