In cooperation with users dejda71, Zdeněk Řemenář, Jirka555t, Zdeněk Kačena, Dominik Schön, Tomáš Štengl, Roman Libra and others, I created a documentary about the locomotives of the 498.1 and 498.0 series nicknamed "Albatros" or "Jedničkový Albatros". The first part is dedicated to locomotives 498.1 and the second part to locomotives 498.0. The documentary is primarily focused on machine 498.106, which still holds the Czechoslovak steam locomotive speed record, which it achieved on the test circuit in Cerhenice in 1964. On the test circuit, it reached a speed of 162 km/h. But why is this document being published today on 12/04/2023? You can find the answer at the end of the document.
