In the Nera building in the Horstermeerpolder in Nederhorst den Berg, in the middle of a Natura 2000 area, a large asylum seekers' centre will be built where 350 people will live. And that in a polder with only 700 inhabitants. That polder used to be the vegetable garden of the Gooi. Only gardeners and farmers lived there, like both my grandfathers. Now there are only two dairy farmers left, against the edge of the nature reserve where the Nera building is located. According to the nitrogen map of Minister Van der Wal, those dairy farmers have to shrink by 75%. 75% of the cows have to go, but a few hundred meters further on hundreds of people are allowed to come and live. Is there anyone who can explain how that is possible? And what about the badgers in the polder? Is there a badger sett and can it stop the construction of the asylum seekers' centre? I went to investigate. Do you want to support my work? Then visit mariannezwagerman.nl and become a member of the Club of Dwarskijkers.
