Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud, may God have mercy on him, says in his book, The World of Secrets, that the believer does not know anything called psychological illness because he lives in a state of acceptance and harmony with everything that happens to him, good and bad, like a passenger on an airplane who feels complete confidence in its pilot and that he cannot make a mistake because his knowledge and skills are limitless, so he will… He pilots the plane efficiently and will fly through storms and fog. He is so confident that he sleeps and dozes in his seat with peace of mind. Everything happens with planning and every event happens with destiny. Nothing is possible more creative than what happened with every heartbeat. Satan finds no foothold or wronged corner in that heart from which all evil can sneak in. The psychological diseases that doctors talk about have other names for him: repression is called self-restraint, deprivation is exercise, the feeling of guilt is piety, fear is fear of Allah, insomnia is support from Allah for more remembrance, and the night in which one does not sleep is a blessing that calls for gratitude and is not a complaint for which one seeks a sleeping medicine. He stayed awake until dawn and stood up for prayer. Regret is a good occasion to return to the truth and to God. Revenge and retaliation are feelings that he overcomes with forgiveness and pardon. He does not get angry except for the oppressed, and he does not know violence except to restrain an oppressor. The psychological feelings that prevail within him are affection, mercy, and patience. That is the state of The believer, by virtue of the feeling that there is no god but Allah, and that there is no ruler, no dominant, and no owner except One, and that death has become in his view a departure and a happy meeting with the Beloved, the soul is different and has become incapable of illness and has risen to this station through faith, obedience, and worship, so its choice becomes what Allah chooses. This believing soul does not know the disease of depression. On the contrary, it is an optimistic soul that believes that there is no distress as long as there is a Lord, that justice is within our reach as long as there is a Just One, that the door of hope is open, and that the Almighty is alive and does not die. The feelings of this soul are in harmony with the universe, for comprehensive love is the origin of All her feelings are in constant peace with nature, with destiny, and with God. She is closest to her Lord while prostrating, melting in love and humility. The believing soul is a working, active soul in serving others and helping them. Her contemplation does not separate her from the street, the market, and the crowding of provisions. Work for her is worship, and sweat is… And toil is a cure, a medicine, and a cure for luxury and the diseases of laziness 1. Faith 2. Mental health 3. Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud 4. The world of secrets 5.
