Mirosław Romański talks about the Central Railway Main Line, one of the most important high-speed rail investments implemented in the times of the Polish People's Republic. The construction of the CMK on a section of over 220 km between Grodzisk Mazowiecki and Zawiercie is only part of the initially assumed plans to connect Silesia with the Coast. Although this line was designed as early as the 1970s with the intention of 250 km/h for passenger trains, in practice such a speed was not implemented for many years. Developing such speeds was possible only during test runs. Only in recent years, after various experiments, the speed of 200 km/h and higher has been implemented.
