Violet Sabazio was a British-French agent in the Special Operations Executive (SOE). During World War II, she bravely supported the French Resistance in France, shortly after the Allied landings in Normandy. During her second mission to France, she was infamously captured and later executed at Ravensbrück concentration camp along with two other female SOE agents. Violet and her husband, Etienne Sabazio, became one of the most celebrated couples of World War II, and both were posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for their bravery.
