Cinta Vidal Agulló (Barcelona, 1982) has not stopped drawing and painting since she was very young. She studied a Higher Education Course in Illustration at the Massana School in Barcelona. At the age of 16, she became an occasional apprentice at the Castells Planas Scenography Workshop in St. Agnès de Malanyanes, where, over the years, Josep Castells and Jordi Castells taught her the craft of painting backdrops and loving scenography. She was lucky enough to experience first-hand the role of apprentice with some great master painters. Regarding illustration, she has never stopped experimenting. She has worked as a freelancer and little by little she has moved towards the world of painting and the creation of her own work. In April 2015 she had her first solo exhibition at Miscelanea (Barcelona). Following that exhibition, new opportunities arose. She now actively collaborates with Thinkspace Gallery (Los Angeles, CA). In 2015 she participated in exhibitions and art fairs in London, Miami, New York, Hawaii and Los Angeles. She has also collaborated occasionally with other galleries, participating in 'Moleskine Project V' at Spoke Art Gallery in San Francisco. In May 2016 she will present eight paintings at the AAF in Hong Kong with Art Projects Gallery. In July she will be part of the mural exhibition 'Vitaly and Verve' at the Long Beach Museum of Art in Los Angeles (CA), coinciding with her first solo exhibition ('Project Room') at Thinkspace Gallery (LA). In September she will also participate in a group show at Vertical Gallery (Chicago, IL), in November in another group show at The Brand Library and Arts Center (Glendale, CA) and in December at Scope Miami Beach with a 'mini-solo' at the Thinkspace Gallery stand.
