The residents of Jaghori are from the Hazara ethnic group and speak Dari or Persian with the local Jaghori dialect. Jaghori district is connected to Malistan district to the north, Nawar and Qarabagh districts to the east, Muqor and Gilan districts to the south, and Zabul province to the west. With more than fifty thousand male and female students, Jaghori district is one of the leading districts in Afghanistan in the field of education. It is worth mentioning that about 1,000 to 1,200 people from Jaghori enter the country's universities annually. Most of the residents of Jaghori district are farmers who provide their food by planting wheat, barley, corn, chickpeas, broad beans, potatoes, zucchini, okra, and eggplant. Of course, in the past, they also planted safflower and used safflower oil to light lamps, but as time passed and the use of fuel (gasoline) became more common, they gradually stopped planting safflower. All Hazara people live in Jaghori district. They speak Persian (Dari). According to unofficial statistics, the population of Jaghori district is 350,000. About 50% of Jaghori people are literate enough to read and write. (This figure is increasing rapidly) Jaghori (Persian: جاغوری‎) is one of the main districts of the Ghazni province in Afghanistan.
