On the website https://netusene-souvislosti.npu.cz/cs and Facebook / netusenesouvislosti you can find up-to-date information on summer schools for working with lime. These schools are organized by the National Monuments Institute https://www.npu.cz/cs as part of the popularization cycle called "(Un)suspected connections". You can find more about the NPÚ Technological Laboratory on the website https://technological-laborator.npu.c.... The 9th part of the cycle "How lime was built in the past" documents the basics of smoothing lime plaster and the basic steps in treating newly made lime plaster. Together with parts 7 and 8, it is a guide for beginners on how to properly smooth lime plasters with wood. Because wood-smoothed plasters are historically the most widespread surface treatment of lime plasters in our country, it is also a guide on how to prepare or supplement the plaster characteristic of a number of historic facades and interiors. More about the principles and methods of replenishing historical plasters can be found in the publication of the video authors D. Michoinová and V. Girsa "Traditional lime plasters - knowledge and practical procedures". The book was published by IC-ČKAIT and the National Monument Institute.
