We visited the 8th edition of Expo Motorhome, at the Expotrade Convention Center, in Pinhais, Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, between November 13 and 17, 2024, is expected to attract more than 25 thousand people – according to data from the organizers. The fair is considered the largest in Latin America dedicated to companies and enthusiasts of camping and caravanning practices, bringing together more than 150 exhibitors and is supported by the State, through the State Secretariat of Tourism (Setu) and Viaje Paraná – a trade promotion agency for the sector. The fair plays a fundamental role in strengthening the motorhome and wheeled tourism sector, stimulating innovation and allowing the end consumer to learn about the latest technologies on the market. The expectation for this year is to reach around R$ 500 million in business. For the State Secretary of Tourism, Márcio Nunes, this is a segment that has been innovating in the market. “Caravanning, camping and other types of wheeled tourism have grown a lot in Brazil. At the state level, this segment has been highlighted due to the countless natural beauties and landscapes that can be found in Paraná,” he said. It is great to have spaces where this topic is debated, precisely because of its growth and its importance for economic activity, since Paraná is rich in road networks, making it a suitable place for this practice”, he explains. HISTORY – The first edition of the event was held in 2016, at the Fenac pavilions, in Novo Hamburgo (RS), bringing together 49 exhibitors, 5.4 thousand visitors and, in the external area, 180 motorhomes, trailers and tents. Since then, the fair has registered strong growth with each edition, consolidating itself as the largest in Latin America dedicated to camping and caravanning enthusiasts. The last edition, held in 2023, had 122 exhibitors and 20 thousand visitors, generating more than R$ 400 million in business. Reaching its 8th edition, Expo Motorhome is a unique experience for those passionate about travel, tourism and adventures.
