Wind energy is very popular, but before a wind turbine can be built, the individual parts have to be transported through narrow village streets. This 82-meter-long rotor blade is to be brought to the Desloch wind farm. By using spectacular technology, operations manager Manuel Deistler manages to transport the rotor blade safely 11 kilometers to the construction site. A special vehicle is moved at walking pace by remote control and carries one of the six rotor blades. Routine, he says, should not arise: "You should always treat it as if it were the first time. If I say routine now, then mistakes will creep in and that will not forgive you for mistakes."
