About :

On the website https://netusene-souvislosti.npu.cz/cs and Facebook / netusenesouvislosti you can find up-to-date information on summer schools for working with lime. These schools are organized by the National Monuments Institute https://www.npu.cz/cs as part of the popularization cycle called "(Un)suspected connections". You can find out more about the NPÚ technological laboratory on the website https://technological-laborator.npu.c.... The 8th part of the series "How lime was built in the past" documents the basics of applying lime plaster and the preparation of loose plaster. Together with part 7, it is a guide for beginners on how to start with plastering, and for advanced users, it is a guide on how to prepare or complete the plastering characteristic of a number of facades with preserved Gothic plasters or, in general, with torn-off plasters. More about the principles and methods of replenishing historical plasters can be found in the publication by the authors D. Michoinová and V. Girsa "Traditional lime plasters - knowledge and practical procedures". The book was published by IC-ČKAIT and the National Monument Institute.
