In today's lesson I'm going to show you an 8-step procedure that I use to make arrangements in Fingerpicking, Fingerstyle or Chord Melody on the guitar. Here I share with you one of the arrangements that I made applying this procedure: • Livin' On A Prayer - Bon Jovi arrangement... Fingerpicking is for me the most complex and fun technique to work on the guitar, it is complex not only because of the technical resources it uses, it is because of the amount of theoretical concepts it asks of us to execute it correctly. We must learn to relate the scales, the notes of the melody and the chords, see them as a single element in order to add them together and thus be able to create the arrangement, even with this resource it is possible to add some percussion with which an even more complete sound is achieved. I am going to explain an 8-step process that I always do when I am getting ready to make an arrangement in fingerstyle or chord melody, where we start with the melody, the register, the tonality and the harmony. Here the most important thing is to understand the melody, how it works, its register and to be able to relate it to the guitar, adjust its execution, since not all the pieces can be done in their natural tone, sometimes we will have to transpose the song. In the second part of the lesson we will see the voice leading, the movement in the bass, the process of putting together the arrangement in fingerstyle and finally how to re-harmonize the musical piece. I remind you that on our platform we have a very complete course about this resource, our fingerpicking chord melody and advanced harmony course for the guitar. Learning to make arrangements, work with several instruments, harmonize, is something that requires a good command of musical theory, in this series of videos we are going to delve into that entire area. • Resources to compose songs If you want to know the course you can do it at this link: https://clasesdeguitarra.com.co/produ...
