The Rifugio Gerli Porro in Valmalenco (So), owned by the CAI Milano, is located in the beautiful Alpe Ventina at the foot of Monte Disgrazia. A destination for both families and mountaineers, the refuge offers a variety of hiking trails suitable for both the little ones and the most demanding hikers (such as the Millenary Larice trail, the Vittorio Sella glaciological trail, the tour of Lake Pirola, the beautiful Alpe Sentieri) and proximity to major classic mountaineering routes - Rachele, Cassandra, Kennedy, Disgrazia. The Ventina refuge, nestled in the mountains of the Rhaetian Alps, in Valmalenco, is an ideal destination for a day trip, for a weekend escape from the chaos of the city or for a period of relaxation during the summer holidays. Located in the wide basin of Alpe Ventina, in front of the homonymous glacier, it has rooms for overnight stays and a restaurant to taste typical Valtellina dishes, both for lunch and dinner, as well as a large panoramic terrace overlooking the glacier. The refuge is also an ideal base for various walks and excursions or for ascents to the peaks of the Monte Disgrazia group.
