It is essential to choose a wooden floor designed for installation on underfloor heating. It is worth knowing that: 1.7°C is the limiting temperature range of a wooden floor during the day. If the floor temperature changes are greater, the boards will start to work excessively - dry out and crack. 27°C is the maximum temperature to which a floor made of boards on underfloor heating can be heated. 40-60% is the optimal air humidity in a living room. Underfloor heating additionally dries the wood by heating it. So if the room is too dry, the boards will start to dry out and crack. 27% is the lower limit of air humidity in the room - this is the value given by many manufacturers of floorboards. If the wood is boating, i.e. the edges of the boards bend upwards - this is evidence that the floor has received too much moisture. If the boards dry out... after installing a humidifier, after some time they will return to their original state. In winter, during the heating season, it is even recommended to use humidifiers. Wood boating in a heated room is proof that moisture penetrates from the wet screed under the floorboards. The floor on underfloor heating is protected and maintained in the same way as any other floor - this applies to both varnished and oiled floors. We invite you to watch the film.
