The Advent campaign for a good cause on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 in Ahden was a complete success. A donation totaling €2,127.60 was presented to the Sterntaler Hilfe für schwerkranke Kinder e. V. association from Paderborn. "We are very pleased that this large sum was raised from the sales proceeds, the auction of the large poinsettia and donations," said the first chairman of the Ahden Tambourcorps, Peter Finke, very pleased with the result. Together with the Ahden parish, the family circle, local mayor Murat Turgut, volunteers from the village community and WEV Veranstaltungstechnik, the event was able to be put on in this form. After the Ahden children put up and decorated the Christmas tree in front of the church and a service for Christ the King, the Tambourcorps' 6th Advent concert took place in the light-illuminated and fully occupied church. Afterwards, the “Night Glow” under the Christmas tree in front of the church got everyone in the mood for Advent with mulled wine, homemade cookies from the family, sausages, cold drinks and Christmas music. The Sterntaler Help for Seriously Ill Children association supports families and children from OWL who are in need and need help. “We help where health insurance companies and authorities can no longer help. Quickly and without red tape. So it is simply great that we have received this donation. Thank you to everyone who contributed,” explains Thomas Seibel, board member of the association, who was able to accept the donation check in the Ahden parish church. Donations directly to the Sterntaler Help for Seriously Ill Children association are still possible at IBAN DE 58472603070016850800 (Bank für Kirche und Caritas eG), the association can also issue donation receipts. www.sterntaler-kinder.de
