Here are some pictures of the transformation of the man kat into an all-terrain camper van ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Who is XTGFAMILY? We are a family with 3 children. Julien the dad, Marie the mom, Manon 9 years old, Alicya 5 years old and Alex 1 year old. We decided to get out of the daily routine that locks us up and enjoy life. Julien is a machine driver and Marie is an engineer in a pollution control company. Our schedule means that 5 days a week we only see the children for 3 hours at most. Like many people, that's for sure, but it's not what we want anymore. Despite our comfortable life, cars, house in the countryside, we decided to sell everything and leave. For many years we have been taking advantage of our holidays to go away in a Defender 4x4 with a roof tent, then in a converted cell, still in a Defender, to end up buying in July 2017 an old 4x4 military truck from the German army (MAN KAT) on which we put a refrigerated box that we have been fitting out since then. At first we thought we would continue to use it for the holidays. But Julien's dream finally came true and we decided to go and see the world. Children? 8 hours a day on school benches is over! School will soon be in our mobile home. Our goal is to leave in October 2019 for South America, perhaps passing through Africa, then going up to Canada. The duration? As long as possible! But in our impatience, we could not help but start exploring other territories. We went to China in Winter 2017 and traveled in a camper van through 5 states of the United States in August 2018.
