Fallout 4 - 5 difficult decisions we face while exploring the world of the Commonwealth Like all games in the Fallout series, the 4th part begins with an introductory video. In it, the main character talks about his great-great-grandfather, who fought in the American army during World War II. Having dropped nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, ending the war, the American government began to use atomic energy not only as a weapon, but also as a new source of energy. Home robots, futuristic cars - all this became possible in the world of Fallout. However, then a war for resources began throughout the world, including the United States, a sharp impoverishment of the population. The game begins in 2077, where the world is already on the brink of a major war, and the main character is convinced by his own example - "War. War never changes." The protagonist wakes up on the morning of October 23, 2077 with his/her husband/wife (depending on the gender chosen by the player), washes himself/herself, walks around the house, plays with his/her small child, when suddenly a representative of the Vault-Tec corporation knocks on the door, claiming that the era of peaceful life is coming to an end, therefore, in case of a nuclear war, it is necessary to reserve a place for yourself in a Vault-Tec shelter, the closest of which is Vault 111. After some time, television reports on nuclear bombings of New York and Pennsylvania. The protagonist's family ends up in Vault 111 and is exposed to cryosleep. After some time, the protagonist and his/her spouse awaken and are attacked by two unknown individuals who take away the baby Sean; in an attempt to protect the child, the protagonist's spouse dies, and the player again plunges into cryosleep. The second awakening occurs 210 years after the disaster. The player discovers that he is the only survivor in Vault 111 and climbs to the surface, where almost nothing remains of the old world he knew, and the paradise that was his home has turned into a new, hostile world called the Commonwealth.
