HOW TO CHOOSE THE IDEAL FLOOR for our homes involves many analyses, such as the resistance of the floor, whether it stains, whether it can scratch, whether it is easy or difficult to clean, etc. That's why today I'm here to give you DECORATING TIPS on floors that I would or would not use in my home if I were building now. Remember that this is a video of my opinion, there is no right or wrong floor, there are those that fit better with my routine and my taste, okay? Let's go to the list: FLOORS I WOULD NOT USE IN MY HOME - FLOOR 1 - VINYL FLOORING IN BLANKET - VINYL FLOORING is my favorite floor, but I don't really like the blanket model because of its aesthetics, because I think it's more artificial, not to mention that it's a floor that if not installed well can have bubbles and not look so nice. This model in sheet is sold in rolls and the STEP BY STEP VINYL FLOORING is the same as glued vinyl flooring, first we apply a primer, then leveling compound, then comes the glue, then we install the vinyl flooring in sheet; FLOOR 2 – NATURAL STONES – GRANITE, MARBLE, among other natural stone floors I would avoid using, first because of the price, they tend to be more expensive, they also have a thickness greater than 2cm and therefore we have to be careful with the levels of an environment, they are heavier floors and therefore we must be careful in storage and transportation, they are more porous, that is, they can stain depending on what falls on them. They can be more difficult to combine with other decorations and even a more dated decoration; FLOOR 3 – HYDRAULIC TILES – This is a beautiful floor, they are handmade and very resistant and beautiful, however they are floors are very thick, and require some care in installation, mainly due to the porosity. These are more irregular floors because they are handmade, they are more expensive because they are made piece by piece and take longer to produce; FLOOR 4 – NATURAL WOOD FLOOR – Among the TYPES OF WOOD FLOORS we have wooden floors, wooden planks, parquet, reclaimed wood, etc. It is a very noble and beautiful floor, but it is an expensive floor, which requires a lot of care to avoid termites, to prevent the wood from drying out, to be careful when walking on the floor, it can scratch if you do not put felt on the furniture, in addition to the care with humidity and the way to clean this floor; FLOOR 5 – CERAMIC TILE – This is a ceramic-based floor, it is also porous, but it can have a very large space between the tiles and use a lot of grout, which is why I would avoid using it in my house, as maintenance would be more complex, not to mention that it works best in more rustic styles only. FLOORS I WOULD USE IN MY HOUSE: FLOOR 1 – CERAMIC FLOOR – This is a tiled floor, with great value for money, with many models, colors and shapes, but I would prefer a rectified floor, preferably made of stoneware. But we must be careful with the PEI of the floor, as it measures the resistance of the floor enamel to traction. A floor with PEI 3 should already serve you very well. FLOOR 2 – PORCELAIN TILE – We have TYPES OF PORCELAIN TILE, such as POLISHED PORCELAIN TILE, SATIN PORCELAIN TILE, ENAMELED PORCELAIN TILE, etc. There is a very wide variety, such as wood-like porcelain, marbled porcelain, which imitates burnt cement, etc. FLOOR 3 – LAMINATE FLOORING – I would use WATERPROOF LAMINATE FLOORING, which can stay wet for many hours without any problem. It is easy to install, just use a blanket and make the floor fittings there, without using glue or anything, we can even remove this floor and install it in another place if we want, this is great for those who live in rented accommodation; FLOOR 4 – READY-MIXED BURNED CEMENT – Known as ready-mixed burnt cement, techno cement, polymeric burnt cement, micro cement, it comes ready to use and has self-leveling and plastic characteristics to avoid expansion joints; FLOOR 5 – VINYL FLOOR – As I said, this is my favorite floor, be it STRAINER VINYL FLOOR, we have a clicked model and the step-by-step vinyl floor is the same as the blanket model I mentioned, they are very easy to clean, quick to install, have a different aesthetic, and are neither cold nor hot. Be careful with wet areas and if they get a lot of sun. Here are the videos mentioned: VINYL FLOOR: • IS VINYL FLOOR WORTH IT? WOODEN FLOORING: • TYPES OF WOODEN FLOORING FOR YOUR HOUSE...
