Angel Falls, Salto Angel, or Paradise Falls, are all names for one of the greatest places and experiences I've had since the beginning of the year!! The tallest waterfall in the world is located in Venezuela in the Canaima National Forest ???????? This waterfall pours down from the top of Mount Auyan Tepui, a flat table mountain with an area of approximately 700 square kilometers!!! Everything about this place is magical... Information that might interest you if you decide to go: Traveling to this place is very difficult if you are not going through a company, because there is no land route to the waterfall, the only way is by river, and the resorts are almost the only party that arranges groups on an ongoing basis... Any resort you book with, usually comes with a package that includes the flight from the capital to Canaima, in addition to the accommodation, all meals, activities, the waterfall trip and transportation... meaning it includes everything from the time you arrive at the capital's airport until the time you return... This is excellent because in Canaima there is no infrastructure for tourism, restaurants, etc.... The resort I was in is called WAKU LODGE and it was really great, this is not an advertisement but rather a piece of advice from me! The cost of the trip in most resorts is between $1,000 and $1,200 per person for the entire trip, which is 4 or 5 days, either from Sunday to Thursday or from Thursday to Sunday. You can book directly through the resort (the resort you stayed at or another one, that is), but the one who booked most of my trips in Venezuela is a company of my friends who can arrange your entire trip if you are interested.
