The 2020 Land Rover Defender takes on the Mercedes G-Class in an extreme 4x4 comparison on the toughest obstacles of the Ocaña Raid Aventura circuit, in the province of Toledo (Spain). The new 2020 Land Rover Defender has the most advanced electronics and an air suspension that gives it almost 30 cm of ground clearance and the best approach, departure and ventral angles on the market, but its 4x4 traction system is based on electronics and in the tested unit we have no more differential locks than the central one. The New Defender can have the rear differential lock as an option, as well as Land Rover ATPC autonomous advance control, but the tested unit is the first to reach the press fleet in Spain and its First Edition finish does not include either of these two features, leaving all the traction work to the reactive electronics of the traction control.
