Approximately 18 kilometers in length, Kamikochi is a high mountain valley located in the Northern Japan Alps in Chubu Sangaku National Park of Nagano Prefecture. Kamikochi, being surrounded by mountains, includes one of Japan's third-largest mountains. In summertime especially, tourists can enjoy being able to be seen the crystal clear river waters, which are mainly from melted snow runoff and cool in temperature. It's an awesome spot to cool down. 2020 August Surrounded by nature, Kamikochi in Nagano Prefecture is a summer resort where you can relax from the bottom of your heart. Known as a mountain scenic spot at an altitude of about 1500m, there are many attractive spots there, from the famous Kappa Bridge to Taisho Pond, the Hotaka mountain range, and the Tashiro Marsh. Listening to the murmur of negative ions coming out of the clear Azusa River with melted snow water is sure to help you relax.
