This video shows the front view from Kokura to Oita. The 883 series (blue Sonic) 7-car train and the 885 series (white Sonic) 6-car train both have highly designed passenger compartments and have won numerous awards, including the Brunel Award. The Sonic 883 series, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in the spring of 2005, has been completely remodeled, with the exterior painted metallic blue to evoke the image of the line, and the interior made even more barrier-free. In addition, car 1 is a green car, cars 2 and 3 are reserved seats, and cars 4, 5, 6, and 7 are unreserved seats. From Hakata to Kokura, car 7 is at the front, and from Kokura the direction of travel is reversed and car 1 takes the lead. The maximum operating speed is 130 km, and the train is equipped with a pendulum device, aiming for speed and comfort.
