The front view this time is of the train bound for Shinagawa from Takahagi, which is the longest-running local train on the Joban Line (Joban Rapid Line) and the Ueno-Tokyo Line. This train departs Takahagi at 6:51am. It passes through Mito, Tsuchiura, and Ueno, and arrives at its final destination, Shinagawa, about three hours later at 10:03am (arrives at 10:01am on weekdays). The distance is 175.1km, which is a little inferior to the long-distance trains that run between Kuroiso and Atami on the same Ueno-Tokyo Line, but it is the longest-running local train on the Joban Line (Joban Rapid Line). By the way, Takahagi is 168.3km from Tokyo, which is farther than the distance from Tokyo to Kuroiso. (Tokyo to Kuroiso is 163.3km.) The appeal of the Joban Rapid Line is its maximum speed of 130km/h. Unfortunately, I didn't check the meter, so I don't know how fast it was going, but it did demonstrate a powerful run. It was impressive to see it run at a rapid speed on the quadruple track section from Toride, with the Joban local line running sideways. I hope you enjoy this aspect as well. Please note that some parts of the video have been pixelated and blurred. Also, visibility is poor between Ueno and Shinagawa due to the presence of a crew member on board. Please be aware of this as well. Finally, this video was also able to be filmed without any problems, thanks in part to the understanding and cooperation of the crew. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their understanding in allowing us to film. Thank you very much.
