Old Town in Bydgoszcz – the oldest part of Bydgoszcz, originating from the 14th-century chartered town and its immediate surroundings. The centre of the Old Town is the Old Market Square, and the chartered town stretches between the Brda River in the north, Wały Jagiellońskie Street in the south, the Młynówka River in the west and Przy Zamczysku Street in the east. In a broader sense, taking into account the boundaries of the former suburbs and the density of development, the boundaries of the Old Town are the following streets: Jagiellońska Street from the north; the so-called Southern Escarpment from the south; Bernardyńska Street from the east; and Św. Trójcy Street from the west. It should be noted that the Old Town is a small component of the large old town district of Bydgoszcz, which is Śródmieście.
