An island located very close to Chakdar. Again this island is later within Hooghly district. The two that were built to get here were destroyed in the 2000 flood. Now climb the ladder on that bridge and cross. Walking paths surrounded by forest. And in all this only four families live. Three out of four families are permanent residents. If necessary at night they use boats. This char's life is a very magical life. Eat hilsa fish from the river Ganges during the monsoons. Again during the storm it becomes a responsibility to save their lives. All in all, this is how their lives are spent for many years. They have been living on this hill for three years.
