PS. Unfortunately, this monument suffered several fires, starting with Nero. However, the greatest damage occurred during the Renaissance, when the population of Rome used the historical memorial park as a quarry. The Romans systematically carried away the Forum Romanum and built their own houses from the stones. I welcome everyone who is interested in art history! :) The aim of the art video series is to provide a sketchy insight into the development of European art history. The topics follow each other chronologically. The focus is on art historical connections and artistic stylistic characteristics.
