In the first quarter of an hour, five goals were scored in Sandhausen. SVS turned the game against Jahn Regensburg around and won 6:3. SV Sandhausen turned a 0:3 deficit through Patrick Greil (13th), Yassin Ben Balla (15th) and Livan Burcu (38th) in the first half and goals from Livan Burcu (38th), Patrick Greil (60th) and David Otto (82nd, penalty) in the second half. Before that, Noah Ganaus (3rd), Christian Viet (8th) and Dominik Kother (11th) gave the league leaders from Regensburg an early and clear lead. The opening phase of this third division match was tough. SSV took the lead after a free kick from the right half of the field in the third minute. SSV striker Noah Ganaus pushed the ball into the Sandhausen goal from close range. Just five minutes later, the guests increased their lead to 2:0. Christian Viet headed the ball into the goal in a disorganized SVS defense. But that wasn't enough: just three minutes later it was already 3-0 for Regensburg, because Dominik Kother was able to head the ball completely undisturbed after a free kick. Despite being 0-3, the Sandhausen team did not give up, quite the opposite. After a cross from Luca Zander, Patrick Greil headed the ball in a high arc towards the Regensburg goal - unstoppable for Jahn's keeper Alexander Weidinger (13th minute). Yassin Ben Balla also scored with a header two minutes later. After the brilliant opening phase, the defense lines subsequently seemed more organized. It was clear that the hosts wanted to make up for the sleepy first few minutes and pushed for the equalizer. This was achieved in the 38th minute. Livan Burcu received the ball in the Regensburg penalty area and shot a spectacular shot into the bottom left corner. It was a deserved equaliser at 3:3 at half-time. After an hour, Regensburg's Weidinger made a serious mistake: During the build-up, the goalkeeper played the ball into the feet of Sandhausen's Patrick Greil. He shot straight at goal and put the home team in the lead with his second goal. In the 68th minute, Livan Burcu scored his second goal. He received the ball from Christoph Ehlich and slotted it in to make it 5:3. David Otto (82nd minute) put the finishing touches to this high-scoring third division game. He was fouled by Louis Breunig in the penalty area and safely converted the penalty to make the final score 6:3. Despite the defeat, SSV Jahn Regensburg is still at the top of the table, with Sandhausen in fifth place with 42 points.
