SV Waldhof Mannheim played a draw with Wehen Wiesbaden in the 3rd league. In stoppage time, Mannheim equalized and saved themselves at 2:2. SV Waldhof Mannheim did not get off to a good start and so the first few minutes of the match belonged to SV Wehen Wiesbaden, who started early and high. In the 6th minute, it was Fatih Kaya who fired the first shot of the match towards the goal for the visitors. However, it was decisively deflected by Lukas Klünter. Mannheim goalkeeper Jan-Christoph Bartels would probably have had no chance. The subsequent corner was crowned with success. Again it was Fatih Kaya, this time the attacker was completely unmarked at the first post after a flat cross from Nick Bätzner and effortlessly sank the ball into the Mannheim goal to make it 1:0 for Wehen Wiesbaden (7th). After Wiesbaden's strong start, Waldhof continued to struggle to get dangerously close to the opponent's goal. After a corner from Martin Kobylanski, Janne Sietan tried to score. However, the shot was too slow and caused no problems for SVWW goalkeeper Florian Stritzel (21'). As a result, Mannheim found their way into their game and kept the ball moving well until Adrian Fein beat the entire Wiesbaden defense with a great lob and Nicklas Shipnoski coolly converted to make it 1-1 (37'). The score was 1-1 at halftime. SV Wehen Wiesbaden also started the second half with a lot of energy and high pressing. However, the early attack led to a counterattack for SV Waldhof Mannheim. However, Kennedy Okpala's harmless long-range shot did not result in the desired goal (47'). As in the first half, the action then took place mostly in midfield. Suddenly, however, the guests came dangerously close to the goal. Fatih Kaya shielded the ball well in the box with his back to the goal and passed it to Nick Bätzner, who had been running along on the right. But Jan-Christoph Bartels parried his shot superbly and steered the ball around the post with his fingertips (57th minute). The following corner was headed by substitute Justin Janitzek this time past the Mannheim keeper, but Henning Matriciani saved it off the line (58th minute). Just four minutes later, the moment had come. Nick Bätzner moved towards the goal with plenty of space and passed to Moritz Flotho. The attacker's low shot from the right did not seem to be that dangerous at first. But Jan-Christoph Bartels was surprised that the ball went to the near post. The Mannheim goalkeeper got to it with his fingertips, but could not defuse the ball and so Wehen Wiesbaden celebrated for the second time - 2:1 (62nd minute). After falling behind, Mannheim tried to do more for the game. Apart from a corner, where Terrence Boyd tried with all his might to head the ball towards the goal twice, nothing came of it (81st minute). Rather, the guests pushed for a preliminary decision. First Bartels parried a shot by Gözüserin from 23 meters (82nd minute), two minutes later the Mannheim goalkeeper was there again and put his body in the way of Agrafiotis' shot - this time the near corner was tight (84th minute). The final phase was quite intense, however. Boyd increasingly pushed himself to the fore. After a pass, Benatelli shot the ball onto the post with a bounce (90th minute). But as usual, Waldhof never gave up and in the third minute of stoppage time Benatelli followed up on a saved shot by Abifade and crossed the ball to Boyd - the Waldhof top scorer volleyed the ball home with the inside of his foot and thus had the final word in this wild game to make it 2:2. +++ 3rd league +++ Pure football.
