However, there is a place in Korea that makes luxury shoes with the sincerity of craftsmen. From cutting to sewing, and stitching, technicians with an average of 30 years of experience make all kinds of shoes, from regular shoes to golf shoes, hiking shoes, and special shoes. Their philosophy is that shoes should fit your feet if you prioritize design, but shoes should fit your feet to be comfortable and long-lasting. Thanks to this, they have been in business for over 80 years and have maintained their tradition for four generations. The craftsmen here measure your feet one by one, cast a plaster mold of your feet, cut the leather, and sew shoes by hand. If you break it down into detail, a pair of shoes comes into the world after a thousand processes, and we introduce the honest sweat of craftsmen who are still enduring thousands of hammerings and nailings for the comfort of someone's feet. In a handmade shoe factory in Seoul, seven craftsmen with an average of 30 years of experience are busy making shoes in a small workshop. Making shoes by hand is never easy. After making a foot mold using a sponge-based foot molding machine, technicians perform leather binding work, then create a wooden mold and sew tightly so that the leather and the sole meet. After finishing the sole work, they have to nail the leather thousands of times to complete a pair of shoes. Even if they work like this for 8 hours a day, they can only make about 10 pairs of shoes, and in the case of hiking boots, it takes more than a week to make the finished product. This is because it requires sophisticated techniques that are 100% hand-made. Making shoes requires skills, but it is also not an easy job physically. Cutting and sewing thick leather requires countless hammerings, and it is not an easy job because it requires frequent use of adhesives. All of the shoe technicians working here have calluses like turtle shells. In addition, they have to work in a hunched position all day, so they have no choice but to live with pain all over their bodies. But when customers are satisfied with the shoes that fit their feet perfectly, all the pain that has built up disappears. We cover the hard day of craftsmen who consider shoemaking to be their calling and have quietly kept their place for over 30 years. ✔ Program name: Extreme Job - Special handmade shoe making ✔ Broadcast date: 2014.09.03 #CholladaeDocumentary #ExtremeJob #Handmade #HandmadeShoes #Luxury #Craftsman #Master
