In today's video in my DIY campervan conversion series, I'm retrofitting the shore power connection on my Ford Transit L4H3. To give you as accurate a picture as possible, I'm explaining the dangers of 230V electrics in campers and explaining how residual current circuit breakers (FI for short), circuit breakers (LS for short) and earthing work. The aim is to give you safe installation instructions so that you don't have to worry about damage later due to reverse polarity. I'm also comparing the CEE with the DEFA plug and telling you why I decided on a DEFA connection. And with that, enjoy the video. *Safety note* The 230V electrics in campers must be approved by a qualified electrician or higher. Working with 230V alternating current is life-threatening and if you are unsure about anything or have no training in the subject, have all work carried out by a specialist. I give no guarantee for the statements shown here and everyone is responsible for their own installations. I am simply presenting my facts here, researched to the best of my knowledge and belief. *Safety notice END* *********************************************************************************** Products used for the expansion: DEFA connection set: https://amzn.to/4cvcxop * Fuse box 3 modules: https://amzn.to/3tWRXH1 * CEE to Schuko adapter: https://amzn.to/3xrH3es * H07RN-F 3x2.5 mm² extension cable: https://amzn.to/3sWC0zg * Earthing cable 4mm²: https://amzn.to/32ObVI5 * Real two-pole FI/LS type DS202CA-B16/0.03: https://amzn.to/3xoMeM9 * PRCD-S mentioned for safe earthing testing: https://amzn.to/3gzOSca * Further links for information: https://t4-wiki.de/wiki/230_V-Elektro... https://diybook.de/machen-renovieren/e...
