Tons of bream, meter-long pike and a whole boat full of perch: fisherman Tobias Prignitz and his son Christopher from Hohen Viecheln in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania are continuing a tradition that began in 1715 with Cord Prignitz. Fishing in the northern part of Lake Schwerin is done just like it was 300 years ago: with gill nets, drag nets and traps, only the material and technology have changed. And there are new problems: environmental pollution, damage caused by cormorants and the sharp decline in eel stocks, bread fish on the fishing farm, are causing Tobias and his son Christopher a lot of trouble. Christopher is due to take over the business from his father in a few years. That would be the eleventh generation in a row. This year, a new addition is expected. Luisa, Christopher's girlfriend, is expecting a child and even reveals what it will be. Could it be the twelfth generation on the way? A year with a record catch, a lavish party and other surprises on one of the oldest fishing farms in Germany. More information: https://www.ndr.de/fernsehen/sendunge...
