In today's class I'm going to talk to you about the Law of Reciprocity. You'll see that it's again a rather theoretical class, although I've tried to give it a more practical approach within the margins that this topic leaves us. It's really about discovering and gaining skill in something that you've already been applying in a more or less conscious way. When we shoot in Aperture Priority mode or in Shutter Priority mode, the camera is applying the law of reciprocity to adjust the other factors of the exposure triangle. That's why I say that even if you weren't aware of it, you've been applying it until now. So it's about you becoming aware, learning what it is, doing some calculations with me and thus becoming more skillful when it comes to calculating changes in exposure values. As I said, it's a bit more theoretical, but it will be really useful later on when you go deeper into exposure techniques or certain types of photography. For example, it's used a lot in night photography, landscape photography, or studio photography. But it really applies to any type of photography you're doing. Let's find out what it is and do some practical calculations.
