I have been developing my knowledge and the right equipment for camping expedition type hiking for several years. This spring I was supposed to ski for 5 days in the wilderness of the arm, outside the marked trails and staying away from the wilderness huts. Unfortunately, the practical arrangements for this trip did not work out. However, I was able to organize a nice few days of solo hiking in Patvinsuo National Park. The purpose was to get used to using certain equipment that I would have had / will have with me next season in more challenging conditions.
