This beautiful Autumn Table Runner was embroidered using the Straight Stitch technique, a type of embroidery that I particularly love to do. It is a simple and very easy pattern. I am sure that with patience and dedication you will be able to develop it at home. The class is complete and you will notice that I had already traced the entire pattern on the fabric. I copied it from a finished embroidery that I saw on the internet, so I don't have the pattern to share, but I took photos of the traced etamine and posted them on my social media so you can take a print. I used Etamine by Döhler, in cream color and measuring 67cm x 46cm without the finishing. I embroidered it with Esterlina 5 threads in colors 197, 34 and 308. Clover brand needle number 20 for hand embroidery and guipure lace for finishing. Teacher's Tips: Bet on thick threads to give volume to your embroidery, because the flowers are large and a thin thread will give the pattern a strange appearance. I suggest Esterlina 5, Brisa or Anchor Torçal. Using a ghost pen is optional, but it helps a lot and speeds up the embroidery. Check out the photos of the drawn chart on my social media. Pay attention to the tension you use when pulling the thread. If you use too much, it will pull and the holes in the etamine will open. If you use too little, the embroidery will be loose. Find a middle ground and try to make a firm embroidery. Bet on a quality etamine that will contribute to the beauty and longevity of your embroidery. I suggest the brands Karsten or Döhler. Be careful with the Estilotex etamine, as it is larger than the one I used in the video and the measurement I used will make a difference.
