In addition to being Rector of Nova SBE, he is a Full Professor and holder of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Chair, MSO Professor at Copenhagen Business School. He is the founder and president of Patient Innovation, co-founder of PPL Crowdfunding, Academic Fellow at the Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures (Cornell University) and member of the EDP Environment and Sustainability Council. Before that, he was Academic Director of The Lisbon MBA at Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics. Born in the Central African Republic and raised in Portugal, he graduated in Naval Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, but pursued a career focused on management, innovation and education. He spent six years in Scandinavia, where he was influenced by the horizontal and collaborative leadership environment that shaped his vision as a leader. Pedro believes in the crucial role of education and technological innovation, including artificial intelligence, in accelerating progress and solving global challenges. For the future, he envisions a Portugal that values dialogue between different cultures, that retains international talent and that asserts itself in several areas beyond economics and management.
