Cooperation production by: / duehobby. . / eisenbah. . Rottweil station building and railway depot. Construction work began in 1865. The station was originally 685 meters long and up to 162 meters wide. The complex included an administration building and a goods shed as well as two locomotive sheds and a repair shop. From 1928 to 1971, Rottweil was also the terminus of the Balingen Rottweil line. Until recently, Rottweil was served by Intercity Express and Cisalpino trains. In 2023, the station will become the headquarters of an electronic signal box that will control the sections from Horb via Sulz and Rottweil to Wurmlingen. Parts of the two remaining railway lines form part of the ring train system, which is operated by the Hohenzollern State Railway. The station is also an important stop for urban and regional bus traffic. The station had a railway depot, only parts of which still exist today. It is still partly used by the Zollernbahn Railway Friends ("EFZ"). Our video presents the former railway depot from 1960 to 1974. In 1979, the turntable, the 8-place roundhouse, the transfer table and part of the locomotive workshop were dismantled.
